$20 - $25 an hour - Full Time
Weldwork has an immediate opening for a skilled and dependable metal fabricator. The successful candidate will work in coordination with the manager to ensure that all jobs are welded to the specification required.
The individual must have the ability to work independently and in a team environment and be able to contribute to the overall success of the project team and organization.
Job Responsibilities
- Highly organized with a good sense of attention to detail
- Weld components in all positions
- Examine work pieces for defects
- Measure work pieces with straight edges, tape measures, scale or templates to ensure conformance with specifications
- Clamping, holding, tack-welding, grinding or bolting component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding
- Maintain equipment cleanliness and order in work area at all times
- Maintain punctuality, work independently with a high degree of attention to detail
- Ability to maintain project deadlines
- Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
- Ability to read blueprints
Job Requirements
- High school diploma
- 2+ years of recent experience in the welding/fabrication in the steel industry
- Knowledge of the different types of steel
- Knowledge of shop equipment
- Must be willing to learn new skills in the fabrication field that are associated with Weldwork product line
- Team oriented work ethic
